Your GP Practice controls how much, or how little, of your data you’re able to see.
The minimum they are required to provide you access to is information about the medications and allergies they have listed in your record.
Other available categories of data that are available from your record are:
Documents - these are generally copies of letters you have received from the NHS
Problems - these are usually diagnoses or conditions
Test results - these will be the results of any investigations such as blood tests
Immunisation - these are any vaccinations you have received from the NHS
If you would like access to these additional categories of information, you need to contact your practice to request they switch on enhanced access. This can be done in two ways:
eConsult
eConsult is a service that makes requesting things from your practice simpler. To request enhanced access:
Go to https://patients.econsult.health and search for your practice
Click on the option "I want administrative help"
You'll be asked to confirm some details about yourself or to log in to NHS login
You'll then be asked to confirm the type of request, click "Other requests for documents of paperwork"
In the box that appears, copy and paste the following: Can you please enable my detailed coded record for allergies, medication, laboratory test results, immunisations and problems? I have registered for online services and can view my GP electronic medical record through the Nye Health app but am only able to see limited information.
You can also email your practice to request enhanced access. To save you time, we made a template email you can send to your practice:
